Lego! May 16, 2010 Louisa C. Jones Lego is great - a timeless toy! This blocks will last my baby for years! :-)
Enjoyable and educational May 2, 2010 Ashraf Awad (Atlanta, GA USA) We got this LEGO box for my son when he was 2 years old, and started with stacking pieces together then making towers, he is now 3.5 years old and he builds or kinds of things, like planes, dog, horse, house, and other creative things. It could keep him busy for hours. It stimulates his education.
Great first set April 20, 2010 j.d. (california) Got this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she loves it. She can easily put the pieces together and often "narrates" what she is building. What looks like a jumble of blocks is actually a playground with all kinds of fantastical features :) Obviously it builds imagination and dexterity while having fun. This particular set is a great value for the number of pieces you receive and there is extra room in the container for you to add to the collection with more pieces as needed. Overall great toy and great value. Also we have played with the "megablocks?" version (the generic version) and they are not nearly as durable/sturdy as the LEGO brand.
Happy! April 16, 2010 Hattie M. Johnson MY four year old grandson and I is really enjoying the legos. It just the right size for him!
Who knew legos were fun... April 15, 2010 Rebecca Rosen (Los Angeles, CA United States) So, let me start by saying that when I was a little girl, I didn't like legos or lincoln logs or anything of the sort. And while I have a nephew who buys and assembles all of the extraordinary lego sets, I never thought we'd have them in my house due to my own biases. However, when a developmental specialist recommended that we use legos with one of our twin toddler girls, I instantly bought the LEGO Duplo Building Set.
Her love to practice stacking the legos and keep trying is awesome. It's wonderful to see her enjoy the legos and get better eye hand coordination every step of the way. In the meantime her sister, probably loves them as much as I did. And she loves to take apart what her sister put together and throw them everywhere. C'est la vie.
These legos definitely keep my girls occupied for 30 minutes, and with toddler twins that's a bonus.
