Playmobile jet plane is fun but frustrating July 27, 2010 lisa My grandkids have a lot of fun with the plane, but it is also frustrating to them because little parts on the plane come off too easily. The kids are always having to put the plane back together or get one of their parents to do it.
Wow it is big - that is why our son is going to LOVE it! June 16, 2010 SuLu (IL) The reviewers were right - this plane is big and my son is still petite for 6 years, so it may be difficult for him to fly it in the air. But he can taxi it on the "run way." He is going to LOVE it - the fact that there is a little toilet inside, and seats that can be adjusted so that you can have more cargo space, etc. I can't wait for him to open it in a couple of weeks. He has a smaller, older version, and he gets frustrated by the fact that the back tail and wings fall out all of the time, so hopefully, this one won't have the same issues. Also, the other Playmobil airplane does not do as much and certainly does not have a toilet!!! And I think we paid more for that one than this one. We paid a GREAT price...
beautiful, big, but falls apart May 6, 2010 E. Dorritie (Buffalo NY) yes, i was warned by other reviews of this toy. it IS gorgeous, detailed, beautiful, and the 4-year-old grandson is ECSTATIC. hasn't put it down since he got it. but it's sad but true-- almost every part falls off, over and over, and not because of rough play-- the parts just drop off. it's a good thing he's figured out how to put most of them back on, but eventually his mom will superglue everything but the doors, i bet.
We love it as much as our kids! March 31, 2010 E. Bennett (San Francisco, CA United States) We love this airplane. It is so realistic with lots of really fun details - the little suitcases open, there is a bathroom on the plane, and the work crew even has a thermos!
We also got the Cargo Crew Set.
Now when we go to the airport, our kids watch out the window and match what's going on outside to their Playmobil Airport set - they have a much better understanding of everything that is going on on the tarmac.
I saw other reviewers complain that the toy disassembles too easily. On the one hand, it is true. The plane's wheels fall off it he kids lean too heavily on the plane, for example. But it really hasn't been a problem for us. We just reassemble as necessary, and frankly the small pieces that are prone to falling off are not very important anyway. To be honest, I kind of like that the pieces give way if pressed too hard - the alternative would be to have more permanently attached parts that would actually break if pressed too hard.
As parents, we have just as much fun with this toy as our kids.
my 4 year was sooo happy!!!! February 12, 2010 Edgar Ruiz We had been looking for a toy like this. It was so good that we bought two of them. It is durable, he has dropped it a couple times and the toy is in PERFECT conditions. It is made in Germany and it is not the Chinese crap we are getting now. 100% recommend and worth every PENNY
